Description

Karat produces the series of optical – electronic systems Lanner for the aircrafts. This product line includes devices installed on man – carrying aircrafts and helicopters, designed for twenty – four – hour downward visibility (monitoring on – land and above water objects) with television channels, thermal imaging channels and laser range finders.

Lanner Systems Provide

  • Measuring and outputting the angular orientation of the sight axis by relative bearing and elevation bearing.
  • Automatic tracking of on – land and above – water mobile objects and keeping them on the sight axis.
  • Pointing the sight axis according to the external target designation (relative bearing and elevation bearing).
  • Measuring the distance to the object

Technical Specifications

  • Performance characteristics of the Lanner system vision device.
  • Accurate pointing and stabilization of the sight line towards the target is not worse than 1 angular minute.
  • Mean square error of angle coordinates measuring is not more than 1 angular minute.

Description

Vision devices by Lanner product line are module devices and may be supplied in different configurations according to the customers’ requirements. The devices can be equipped with a set of gyrostabilized optical – electronic unit groups (TV cameras with various fields of view, infrared cameras, laser range finders). Gyrostabilization prevents any impact of vibration and aircraft evolution to optical blocks so the system provides a high resolution video and accurate identification of the monitored objects coordinates. All – round view provided by the vision devices is supplemented with digital filtration system for better image quality in adverse weather conditions (haze, fog, rain, dusk, etc.).

System Functions

The main functions of the Lanner systems include:

  • Detection of above – water and on – land objects under day – time and night – time conditionsl.
  • Identification of the detected objects.
  • Providing search and rescue operations, environment monitoring.
  • Forming and outputting target designations.
  • Supporting police operations.
  • Detection and monitoring of techno genic or natural RWI.
  • Solving other specific tasks including those related to the emergency landing of the object.

Lanner – A system

Lanner – A is a part of the radio – electronic complex Novella designed as naval aircraft equipment. The complex functions as naval reconnaissance and can be used for search and rescue operations.

Lanner – M System

Lanner – M is designed as the equipment for the Russian Emergency Ministry aircrafts. Lanner – M provides the information support solving the following tasks:
  • Detection and output ting fire coordinates;
  • Water drawing during gliding
  • Firefighting in smoke and dusk conditions;
  • Performing search and rescue operations.

Lanner –V System

The optical – electronic system Lanner – V is specially designed to be installed on helicopters. The system gyroplatform has been improved with optical units for protection from inherent excessive vibrations of helicopters.

Configuration

Vision devices of the Lanner system are designed for a wide range of operational conditions and sealed. For important implementations they can be configured with special units providing the given thermal modes and reliable operation in the North and under excessive humidity conditions. These units prevent icing and decrease the warming – up time under below – zero temperatures of the ambient air.

Due to a standard user – friendly interface, the Lanner systems are easily conjugated with other system devices (radars, weapon control systems, monitoring systems, etc.)
